I’m in NYC and I am loving it here! Okay, so the hotel isn’t great and the WiFi keeps bumping me off but I was determined to write this. I got to New York last night and went to the Flatiron building and Times Square. It was so packed but worth it. However today we spent most of the day in Central Park and the Upper East Side and I totally had a Gossip Girl moment while sitting on the Met steps. I am in love with the Upper East Side – I want to live there! But I don’t know if that will ever happen because I’m not Blair Waldorf or Serena Van Der Woodsen. I wish I was, but alas no.
Anyways, New York has been great and I hope I can work here some day and live in the Upper East Side, while spending my Saturdays shopping on Madison Avenue. Until then, have a great beginning of the week Readers!
Signing off from NYC with love
Hey Readers, I hope you have been well. I’ve been a bit MIA since midterms – well I was in need of a break after that week and spring break happened. After taking a bus to the airport, working on my laptop in Starbucks for three hours and then finally getting on my plane, I land in Chicago to find snow… tons of snow. My ride couldn’t pick me up, so I took a taxi to Olgivie Train Station then took the Metra home. To my surprise, no one shoveled the sidewalks, so I lugged my suitcase through the half foot of snow. Have you ever lugged your suitcase through the snow? It sucks. Period.
After a good break, I decided it’s time to get back in the swing of things. Tonight, I finished Gossip Girl. It was the end of an era for me. The Upper East Side seems like our modern day East Egg in the Great Gatsby. I won’t spoil it for anyone who was also behind and hasn’t finished. But you would’ve never guessed who Gossip Girl was. Quite frankly I’m sad it’s over. While I would love to think of myself as a Serena, I have a bit of Blair in me as well. Don’t we all? However, it’s sad because it’s over!
Now what will I do with my time? Well since it is the end of the Gossip Girl era (for me) I will finally be working on the portfolio section of my blog. I’ll have more details in the future, but for now I’ll leave you with this inspiration from B herself:

I’ll blog soon.
